A traffic stop and short foot chase led to the partial lock down of Carver Elementary School today.

School Resource Officer Lt. Terry Sanford said the children were not confined to their rooms, but were not allowed to go outside and the doors of the school were locked.

The suspect was never apprehended, but the partial lock down lasted for about an hour. Officers made sure the suspect was no longer in the area before things were reopened.
